Climate Action Initiatives

In recent years, the rise in global temperatures due to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions has become a serious social challenge. The increasing temperatures bring concerns of severe impacts on people and ecosystems, including a rise in extreme weather events such as hurricanes, torrential rains, and droughts, as well as the melting of glaciers and ice sheets. Therefore, there is a societal demand for realizing a sustainable economy through decarbonization management that aims to balance the use of finite natural resources with the preservation of the global environment.
In light of this situation, the EPNextS Group has participated in the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to ensure our commitment to climate action and obtained SBT certification in May 2025. This certification demonstrates that the EPNextS Group's GHG emission reduction targets are scientifically consistent with the “1.5°C goal” set by the Paris Agreement.

* Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi): An initiative jointly operated by four organizations: Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the World Resources Institute (WRI), and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF)."

GHG Emission Reduction Targets

Scope1 & Scope2 :
A 42 reduction by fiscal year 2030 compared to fiscal year 2023
Scope3 :
A 25 reduction by fiscal year 2030 compared to fiscal year 2023

To achieve these targets, the EPNextS Group is committed to reducing GHG emissions across the entire supply chain of our group businesses. We aim to balance the realization of a sustainable society with the enhancement of the EPNextS Group's corporate value, thereby contributing to the development of the healthcare industry.
