Enoshima Beach Clean-Up: SDGs × Sustainability
On Saturday, April 19, 2025, under clear skies, EPNextS, Inc. held a beach cleanup activity at Katase Higashihama Beach in Kanagawa Prefecture, themed “Enoshima Beach Clean-Up: SDGs × Sustainability.” Our twenty-four employees and their families participated, dedicating their efforts to the beach clean-up.

On the day of the event, participants first received a lecture from the NPO UMISAKURA on the current state of marine debris and its impact on the ocean environment. Following the lecture, a game element was incorporated into the clean-up to make the litter collection enjoyable for everyone.
Notably, in the “Unique Trash Collection Championship,” each team selected the most unusual item they found, created a story about its background, and presented it. This activity tested creativity and presentation skills, making the venue buzz with excitement. Even though the beach appeared clean at first glance, a considerable amount of litter was collected in about one hour of activity. Many participants shared comments such as, “It gave me a renewed opportunity to think about environmental issues as my own responsibility,” making it a valuable time to reflect on our daily lives and actions.
We will continue our initiatives toward the realization of a sustainable society.
