EPS Corporation promotes workations utilizing the EP Yamanashi office, aiming to advance flexible work styles and enhance employee well-being. Employees can routinely and freely utilize the office for departmental training or personal use with managerial approval.

On August 23rd and 24th, 2024, a joint workation event was planned and operated by three companies: EPS Corporation, EP Mediate Co., Ltd., and EP Yamanashi Co., Ltd. The goal was to promote refreshment and inter-departmental exchange among employees, including their families, by experiencing the rich nature of Yamanashi and changing the work location.

On the 24th, a hands-on program focused on disaster preparedness was conducted. Participants had the opportunity to learn about food options during emergencies through comparative tastings of alpha rice (rehydrated with cold vs. hot water) and shelf-stable emergency food. Feedback included comments like, “It was surprisingly tasty when rehydrated with cold water,” and “I was surprised by the variety available.”

In the afternoon, participants visited the Sakaori Winery, established in 1991. This provided an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the local industry and to learn about the production of liqueurs, such as plum and yuzu wine. The social gathering featured dishes made with local vegetables and Yamanashi’s specialty peach pizza, fostering interaction across different departments and office locations. The event concluded with the Isawa Onsen Fireworks Festival, celebrating the 20th anniversary of Fuefuki City and its 60th event. Ten thousand fireworks and a drone show illuminated the night sky, with participants commenting, “It was a luxury experience to watch the fireworks at a relaxed pace from the company rooftop,” and “Yamanashi is the best!”

Furthermore, we received numerous positive reviews, such as “Changing my work location was a great change of pace,” “My family also enjoyed it and it made great memories,” “My impression of emergency food changed,” and “I want to come again.” This expanded the possibilities of our workation program.
We will continue to aim for both employee comfort and the enhancement of corporate social value by diversifying work styles utilizing regional resources.
